Electrolux washing machines

The Swedish appliance manufacturer Electrolux was founded in 1910 in Stockholm as Elektromekaniska. In 1919, the company merged with Lux AB and assumed its current name. Swedish businessman Gustaf Sahlin immigrated to the United States in 1924 and began selling vacuum cleaners under the Electrolux name, but transferred rights to the name in 1998. Electrolux of Sweden was then able to begin selling appliances under its trademark. Today, under CEO Hans Straberg, Electrolux sells both consumer products and large-scale corporate machines.
